i just finished solving the rubiks cube again. uhhmmmmm! by solving i mean i looked up how to solve it on the internet and followed the directions. im sure there are people who can solve the rubiks cube without directions or know how, those people who can see 15 moves in front of them and remember the 14 steps it took to get there, but thats not me and i am proud of solving it just the same by using directions...its cool and at least i didnt take it apart or switch the stickers.

who wouldnt feel deflated

i am watching the discovery channel right now and i thought i would post a couple pictures and write a post. i have watched very little television since we got dish network but i must say when i take the time out to watch it and shows like the one i am currently watching are on, planet earth, pole to pole, it makes it worth it. this documentary took five years to make and so far it is excellent.. check it out if you have the time.

i ran today for the first time in weeks. nice run although the chaffing of my legs was painful. strength wise i could have ran longer.

last night i watched blood diamond and thought it was a story well told. joe leaves for his golf trip this week and i am thinking about skipping taco night again. maybe i will make pasta or salmon instead.

the photo above is of the great maples in my front yard. Davey tree stopped by a few weeks ago and gave them a quality trim. honestly, i have seen worse.

the other photo is of the sign i saw in the neighbors yard on may way home last week. it took just about one year to get my next door neighbor to move out. ouch. i felt bad enough the day i rounded the corner saying i was going to feed their dog rat poison and the family was outside sitting on the step. that was enough to get rid of the dog but i wonder if it was something else i said. well, i hope the new neighbor is great.

this discovery show is awesome so i am going to put this down for the next three hours and soak this in.

pheasant tacos last night. they were good...like its said... it tastes like chicken. my mom tells me pheasant was once and still is considered a delicacy. i believe her, its nicer that way. so other than the pheasant being a little tougher and a little drier, expected, it was nice to cook the birds that joe shot just a few days before. there was this hunter gatherer feeling. we were men and it was fun.

another taco thursday... i was planning on letting this one slide by since joe is gone hunting for next weeks taco meat....fresh "pheasant". laisla was an option but then i looked in the fridge and saw a great idea.

earlier this week we took bacon wrapped pork chops to s&b's and we had two left over so i chopped them up, made homemade bbq sauce(ketchup,sirachi, chipotle tabasco, brown sugar, chipotle salsa, balsamic and greek dressing), and baked a potato.

i was very happy with the results; a burrito that lived up to some of the best. it was enjoyed with the company of a sixty minute and hayden
