....don't tempt me 'cause i might....

i am back from tahoe and i couldnt have had a better time. skiing was great and the time spent with joe, bryce, todd, jon, and brenda was so much fun. thanks again jon and brenda. i wish everyone could have enjoyed "the FUNd". that being two nights living it up on winnings from the roulette table. breakfasts, beers, dinners, -what would we have done with a thermometer anyway???
here are two photos of last weekend but i must say everyone is in for a treat when they see pictures from the past five days. they will be posted as soon as i get them. i plan to make some changes with the blogsite soon. i would like to turn it into more of a community site where we all can post pictures, ideas, whatevers, and we can all comment. i will figure out the easiest way to do this and DO IT! in less than one week i will be home. the teeth surgery just moved up in the charts. moved up as in i may be going in tomorrow to get this straightend out.
joe, email me those pictures asap so we can post them. especially that one of you and the monster -or wait, was that me?
bryce, i hope you have taken off the lace underwear you were wearing.
todd, that last six pack was overkill and so was that hot dog.
jon, glad you were able to hang out with us -and thanks for teaching me that tube socks do have a purpose.

I saw her, yea I saw her. With a black tongue tied round the roses

ok. well i stopped packing and i am giving myself a break. i went for a run this morning after sleeping in a bit and then helped marc work in the yard. i just returned from picking up my rental car. i got the jeep commander, basically i am driving an H3 hummer. probably not the best vehicle on gas but id imagine we will take advantage of it when we get that two or three feet of snow. i have a good feeling about the snow.
my skis are waxed, my friends let me know that they are basically trashed. i say i dont care and ill save the money towards the bike. new skis are not in the budget, actually there is no budget but lots of things trying to be put on the budget. computer, teeth, bike.....those are the three most important. oh that tempur-pedic has just moved up on the list since that is what i have been sleeping on the past three weeks and i am sold, SOLD.
so there is a song i would like to post on this blog but im not sure how or if its possible to do. see i enjoy music so much but i would love to share it with others and maybe they will like it too. also i wish i had some photos to post but phototaking has went by the waistside. i will be sure to take pictures in tahoe which now reminds me to charge the batteries.

NO POST TODAY

JUST A NOTE TO SAY, NO POST TODAY.

Waking Before You, ivegotafeverandachildishwishforsnow...

food, food, food, coffee, food, beer, wine, food and all with friends. before i know it this little trip will be over but not before going skiing. excited about that to say the least. i am posting two pictures of saturday night in hollywood. i met a few friends from my hometown in manhattan beach and we went out to celebrate a birthday -el guapo and the loft. there are more photos from other nights here but i just dont have them yet. after that was sunday in huntington beach where we road the pacific coast highway. the first 25 miles was easy with the wind at our backs and the second 25 when we turned around was quite tough. i road through laguna beach, if you ever have seen the tv show thats basically what it is like. today was a run and some yard work and soon i will be off to lunch. its strange to think i will be back home before i know it. i hear its cold in PA. its been not as cold but definitely chilly. well i have to get a shower and go.

overall my work experience here was great. work is basically over now and i celebrated yesterday by going to bike shops(anyone looking for an amazing titanium, white, independent road bike on sale for 5700 i know just the place) and the stuffed sandwich again with marc, phil, and corey. sandwiches and beers and conversation. from there we went to lucky baldwins pub where they began the belgian beer fest. about thirty taps of great beer. from there we went to the beer store and to zoe's for a great dinner with friends and a nitecap at the bar to say goodbye to jemma(calvins wifes sister from london). it actually rained yesterday and this morning i went for a run up fryman canyon. later today i am heading to manhattan beach to hang out with some friends. it should be fun. tomorrow is riding along the pacific coast highway with marc and matt and dinner with mike and nora. check the link on the title for a sweet t-shirt i will be ordering. i spoke to an owl once. it was something i will never forget. i will try and post more photos when i get the chance. oh, and the bread truck is gone forever. thanks dad.

at least the dark don't hide it.

Hello all. I finally made the time to post some of these photos from work. Thursday will be my last day of work as far as i know. So far i have plans up until next week which is nice. The weather was actually more normal today being only around 70degrees. I was even a bit cold in a sweater. I experienced my first traffic jam today and it wasnt fun. luckly i made a u-turn and made it home another way. oh. Happy Valentines people. I hope you all were at least told happy valentines day. Its just a day but its nice, yes, no. anyway, i have met some great people out here and i look forward to going out a bit more now that work is wrapping up. we spent a few days over the weekend playing a game called "articulate". its a game from london that kates sister brought here, just a basic game but we had a good time playing it. well, valentines will be celebrated moreso on friday since most of us had a long day today and work will be over by then. the snow looks great in new york and how about that channel 21 news broadcast. i found it on the internet so i was able to watch it. thanks for those of you who gave me a call. talk to you all soon.

MY OTHER BIKE IS A BIKE.

Here are picture from last nights date ride around Los Angeles. The pictures do not show how many people were there but last ride was approximately 800 people. the ride was about 25miles and included one guy getting snatched up by the cops for jumping up on the sidewalk in Glendale and another rider getting hit by a car and takin' out in an ambulance. i will post some commercial photos tomorrow. Tahoe is just around the corner.

stuff

hello all. work has been great. different than what i expected but better than i expected too. its great to see how production works and to somewhat be involved. driving in traffic doesnt seem so bad and working long hours and waking up early hasnt bothered me yet either. yet, today was only my third day. i have met more great people and they are fun to work with. hope everyone is doing well and call if you want to hear more of whats been going on. i will try to post some more pictures after the weekend. i know the stuffed sandwich(www.stuffedsandwich.com) is a possibility for saturday which is awesome. no doubt riding. tomorrow we are shooting in the pacific palisades which is closer to the coast. it should be cooler (70) than what the past three days have been (80). tomorrow night will be a night ride with messenger bags of beer. saturday night will be tinas favorite mexican resturaunt w/friends and kates sister from england. looking forward to it. sunday it is possible that i go to a pub at 430am to watch the soccer world cup live with marc and karl. good night.

itmademefeelbetter, whatshehadtosay

its monday and my work week is one day away. first. congrats all steelers fans. it was sloppy but i am happy for pittsburgh and all of the fans. i spent the superbowl at zoe's and we had an mexicellent meal along with tons of snacks and a few beers. thanks guys. i hear i just left home in time to miss a week of cold and snowy weather.

the pictures posted are of my bike ride yesterday. i ended up riding into beverly hills and along santa monica. the roads are so long here which is nice. how about the tree lined streets. the one lined with pines was so great and such a blast to ride. i ended up riding with another rider on the way back up the mountain. it was nice to talk to someone else(she was an art history teacher). she taught a class on the history of furniture which i thought was really cool.

today i am working around the yard and i will either go for a run or a bike ride later. work starts tomorrow so instead of waking at seven like i have been it will be more like four-thirty or five. oh, i joined tina and marc for a morning yoga session. yoga is so difficult and not fun but i feel great and i know it is one of the best things i could do.

well i am going back out to work. hope all is well in pa. oh. anyone looking for new music. idaho and folk implosion.
i included a link on the benefits of coffee. there are always conflicting articles but i liked this one since it was basically what i wanted to hear. simply click on the title of this post.

andallyouare,is brand new.

saturday morning and its just after noon. i rode down to the show, recommended by calvin, and had something warm to drink. after that i started my ride up franklin canyon(x3), along mullholland blvd, hollywood hills, greenview, and who knows what other hills i climbed. sure when i ventured back i was a bit lost but after some time i found my way back to laural canyon. the two pictures above were taken on my ride.

picture one i believe is hawthorn and picture two is the steelman parked in front of the tree people. the steelman rides so nice and a cross bike like this is a must around here. it rides just as nice as the kelly. i have more toe clearence on the steelman which is nice and bar levers which were great. i was a bit more stretched out on the steelman and i missed my take-offs.

last night i went to the fox and the hound and i am about to grab some lunch with mike soon. so far i am having a great time. i am excited for the super bowl and to work. while i am working i dont think i will have much time for anything but work but i think it is going to be a blast. 12 to 16 hour days but i am looking forward to it. thanks again to marc and tina for letting me stay and getting me a job.

ive been riding with the ghost...

the bikes. the photo does no justice because you cant see the copper rivets on the brooks saddle on the KELLY and you can't spin the drivetrain on the KHS to feel how smooth it is. these bikes will not be going with me but i will be in good hands because i know there is a Steelman Eurocross that fits me very well where i am going. for those of you who left me comments, thank you. for those of you who still do not know about the blog i should be sending an email out tomorrow. GOOD NIGHT.
